Magnetic Scrolls Memorial

In the mid 80's a small British team of programmers called Magnetic Scrolls prepared to become the European answer to Infocom. After releasing only seven games Magnetic Scrolls perished in the fast growing multimedia age. Nevertheless their thrilling stories, a trailblazing parser and excellent graphics made them a milestone in adventure game history. May these pages help in having fond memories of these jewels:

The Pawn

The Guild of Thieves

Jinxter

Corruption

Fish!

Myth

Wonderland

The MS Collection Vol. 1

Since Magnetic Scrolls died in the early 90's, the games havn't been available for many years. If you still own copies of the games you should take a look at the various emulators. The games work perfectly with Fellow, UAE for Amiga, PaCifiST for Atari ST, and Frodo for C64.

Niclas Karlsson has developed a portable interpreter - MAGNETIC. So far there are ports for Amiga (written by David Kinder), BeOS (written by Tinic Uro), and DOS (written by Stefan Jokisch) available. Examine this excellent piece of work (Please read the disclaimer!):

MAGNETIC - The Interpreter

Information on Magnetic Srolls can be found in the Factsheet. Besides there are some interviews and stories available:

Christmas with the stars - Anita Sinclair (provided by Ashley Zoch)

Magnetic Scrolls Memories (written by Rob Steggles)

Softstory - Interview with Anita Sinclair (not yet available)

A lot of people helped me enhancing these pages. Go to the Credits page to watch the "Guardians of Memories". Anyway, I think there is still a lot of stuff missing. Please check my Question/Request section if you can provide missing information. If you are searching for a special MS title or want to sell a MS game, please mail me. I'll add your request to the page.

Besides you can sign and view my guestbook (View the old guestbook here), or send me some mail.
