This online version is based on a modified development snapshot of JMagnetic 2 which is limited to the basic functions that are needed to play the games. It lacks many features of the normal JMagnetic distribution like sound support and is intended for quick game sessions in between or offering easy access to new visitors. For serious playing I strongly recommend using the full JMagnetic 2 or any of the various Magnetic ports. You need at least Java 5 or newer and Java Webstart properly configured in order to run the games. The game size is between 0.8 and 1.5 MB.

A note on saving and loading: The application is signed with a self signed certificate and thus brings up a warning when starting. The certificate is required for loading and saving games. When prompted for a filename in the classic games you can enter * to open standard file dialogs. The save game format is fully compatible with the normal JMagnetic 2 distribution.

An important note:
Magnetic Scrolls' games have not been made freely available by the owners (Although I tried to find out, it is even unclear who holds the rights on the games now). It is illegal to play Magnetic Scrolls games if you do not own the original packages. Their games, sadly enough, have been unavailable for years. The reason for making the interpreter files and the game related materials available here is to prevent the loss of the games. Read more here.
