The Magnetic Scrolls Memorial had a couple of different guestbooks over time and some of the external ones were lost when their services shut down. However the very first guestbook from the first two years in the existance of the Memorial was conserved and is presented here.
Wow. I remember loving (and being frustrated! ;) by the spectrum versions of these games back in the day. They rocked!
I enjoyed 4 early MS games (Pawn/Guild/Jinxter and Fish) very much and am currently left with floppies I can put nowhere ... until now.
Tonight I hope to get few memories back when I try the windows interpreter.
Can't tell you how happy I feel at this moment !
i love this site please keep on the good work
Hi, I am just discovering and appreciating the world of interactive fiction, so thanks for keeping all this material up! :)
The story file download isn't working today, although it was fine a couple of days ago. I hope this is a temporary glitch and not the copyright police on the rampage as I am really enjoying reliving "The Pawn".
I use to love playing the Magnetic Scrolls games, the first two adventure games I ever completed were The Pawn and The Guild of Theives. It's a shame there still not around.
Thanks for some great games.
The Pawn was a great game! I recall many hours with my brother playing this adventure during my youth. Such memories!
I used to play Magnetic Scrolls games as a kid, they were the ones that really taught me to english (not being my native language) and kept me entertained for years. Wonderful stuff.
I was never able to complete Jinxter though, and that has bugged me every now and then when I think back the old games I have played. But today, after about 20 years since I last played it, I finally finished the game :) Thanks a lot for providing us with the change to keep continue playing these classics!
What a great site, really pleased to see it being updated again.
Oh I have forgotten to write down my e-mail-adress.
And I have solved the problem with the graphics:
Type 'graphics on' and you will see the graphics.
